USA drivers license expired - able to renew?
« on: October 30, 2024, 07:13:22 PM »
My USA driver’s license expired and admittedly, I should have renewed it online last year. The address on my license is in Florida where I used to live. I am visiting the States in 3 weeks but going to Oklahoma where my family now lives - is there a way to renew in person but in Oklahoma rather than Florida? Can I change the address somehow? Thank you for any help.

May not be terribly helpful, but  https://www.flhsmv.gov/driver-licenses-id-cards/renew-or-replace-your-florida-driver-license-or-id-card/

I'd have to add that unless Florida has different regulations, obtaining a DL from them when not a resident is probably illegal.

I think you are correct.

Customers must submit two different documents with their Florida residential address (printouts or faxes of these documents are acceptable). We will no longer accept out-of-state or U.S. territory addresses for applicants obtaining a Florida Class E license or identification card.
