EVisa help / anyone else having issues ???
« on: January 29, 2025, 04:59:16 AM »
Hello all ,

I am wondering if anyone else is having issues linking their passport to their evisa

When I  click the link this is what I get :

It says when I sign in :
We cannot show proof of your status

This may be because you need to finish linking your eVisa to your account.

If you have finished linking your eVisa to your account, you will be contacted with further information. Remember to check your email spam folder.

If you need further help

For further help, contact UK Visas and Immigration.

Finish and leave service

Then when I click the link that says :
Finish linking your  evisa  to your account

It brings me to :
“ Your form “ and an application to fill out ..
(no time limit )

So I started the form .. and then it’s telling me to 1st section it asks where I’m applying : in the U.K.

2nd section it says “ confirm your identity “
Then it goes in to Using the app ???

You will need : my identity document
An iPhone 7 or newer. ( a phone that can make contactless payments )

I get the app : U.K. immigration ID check

Now it’s telling me I need a BR code …

Do we need to pay , do we need an app , do we need to pay …
I’m so lost .. can anyone please help
Is this right ???? I’m getting so nervous … I Leave in 2 weeks

Is anyone else having issues ???

(For reference I can prove my right to work and rent ) but can’t seem to link my passport to show my status … I have indefinite leave to remain

I’m in a panic as I leave for the US in less than 2 weeks . I know it said we can use our cards till mid March but I will need this in future.. if anyone knows anything or can help ???

Thank you ☺️

You’re on the right track.  I did this back in May so I don’t remember all the specific details.

Once I started the process of ‘confirm your identity’ in my UKVI account, it gave me a code.   Then I went to the app and input the code.  This linked the app to my account and I think then the UKVI account automatically logged off.

From there I used the app to scan the chip in my BRP.   I had some trouble doing this.   The app should give some instruction on how to do it.  Once the app says it’s starting to read the chip, stop moving the phone.  The app will tell you when it’s complete and give you any additional instructions.

Once I uploaded from the app, I received an email from UKVI saying they were working on linking my evisa.   Within 24 hours I received another email saying the process was complete.

Once that was done I was able to link my passport in my UKVI account.

I hope this helps.
