Thanks, and not surprised.

The IRS are also phasing out paper checks in 2025 for expat tax filing, it will have to be direct bank payments going forward.

I'll be applying for SS and making sure it's deposited into my bank account correctly before I leave the US. An advantage of doing things electronically and paperless is that everything goes to an email and not an address that might change.
