Hello from Tessa Wood-Woolard!

Just a quick hello to all..........hoping to establish some great contacts as I try to live my dream of moving to London this year!! I am a designer, with dual degrees in graphic and interior design, I want to career change over to Interior design speicalizing in sustainable design and I am keen on alternative energy and strawbale building. I am a multi-tasker with marketing background also, so there are many talents to be shared. I was a student in London in the '80s, I studied radio, TV, film at the University of London Chelsea campus,  and I lived for 4 summers after that in Greenwich. It's still home to me. I have very dear friends in Surrey that I visit as much as I can, near Epsom Downs. I need to find a job, I know this will be a challege.....I'll need all your support!!!!!

Welcome Tessa!

As a fellow graphic designer I wish you luck. The market is pretty saturated (many Unis have graphics programs) so be prepared to sell yourself hard. I don't know much about the interior design field but if you have anything that would set you apart... i.e. experience in sustainable design, that will probably help you find someone who can sponsor you (I'm assuming you need a UK company to sponsor you in order to work here legally?).
