LIST: Things about The UK you wish you had known

I have found the Scots to be exceptionally friendly and chatty.

I have the best conversations with my customers. It only takes them hearing my accent and they chat me right up.

My husband and I were thrown a wedding dance this past weekend for all the Scotland family that couldn't make it to the States for the wedding. Everyone that talked to me was all 'ohhhh where are you from?'.  I talked so much I was hoarse by the end of the night lol. Scots love a good Southern accent  (and mine is almost nonexistent at this point...imagine if they spoke with my mom! lolol)

Last winter when it was really cold and miserable, I  sat down on the train in a middle seat between two big guys.  I moved my elbows to make a bit more room and one of the guys elbowed me back.  I  gave him one back a little harder and the next thing you knew, we were throwing elbows like ten year olds on the playground. 
That's the closest thing you'll get to a conversation on the train down here in the big smoke.

I remember going on a subreddit for UK and seeing people complaining about how loud Americans were etc. and I was like "......I can tell you that there are LOADS of loud Brits just as there are loads of quiet ones and quiet Americans" and was told "well nights out don't count".....like hell they don't count! haha
