anyone know of good dentists and/or doctors in Northwest London
« on: January 26, 2005, 10:59:43 PM »
Hiya,

Can anyone recommend any good dentists and/or doctors (private or in NHS) in Northwest London (ideally zone 2)?  It seems that all the ones I have seen on the NHS web site in my area don't have weekend hours and all close too early on weekdays.

Thanks.
bvamin

i don't but i'm going to listen to this thread.

my hubs said it's SO hard to find NHS dental treatment that he's gone private all his life.  If we go to a NHS dentist, is the treatment free?  Fillings etc?

There is an NHS dentist in Camden High St that I went to once ... but I wouldn't recommend him ... his equpiment was about 40 years out of date. Sorry that isn't very helpful is it.  Your choice of NHS doctor is limited to those within your "area" which is usually only a couple of miles radius of where you live, so if you are in W. Hampstead, you may not be able to go to the same doctor as someone living down the road in Swiss Cottage, for example.

Aimiloo, NHS dentists are not usually free (except for children and pregnant women), but cheaper than a private dentist.
