VACCINATIONS

I haven't vaccinated my kids in the US. I am moving to London---are vaccinations required? If so is there any way around it?

You don't have to vaccinate your children.  Just be prepared to have the GP talk to you about why you don't want them vaccinated.   
   

kolc is correct.  Immunisations are voluntary, not compulsory.  HV visits are also optional, not compulsory.  Enjoy your freedom to decline both as you see fit!

We don't vaccinate our kids. The two oldest ones are in school here in the UK with no problems. The GP is understanding of our decision and our baby's health visitor is actually very supportive of it. No flack thus far. Good luck in the move.

You are lucky.  The few times I have taken my kids to the GP or health visitor they spend some time questioning my decision to not vaccinate.

So sorry to hear that. We just got lucky with our kids' GP/H.V., and my husband is also a health professional so I think that might be why they don't question us too much. 

My wife does not want to have our baby immunized when it is born.  She was never immunized, and neither was her mother, and neither of them have ever had any infectious dieases. 

I intend on supporting her in this desicion, but I need more info on the pros of NOT doing it, especially when our GP will undoubtedly try and bully us into having the baby immunized.  Does anyone know of any websites where i can get more info, and ideally that discuss this issue from both perspectives?

Hi, here is a book that was helpful to me:    My husband was not vaccinated either and when our first child was born I had to make this decision as well, knowing how he felt about the subject.
