USA Fiance Visa--Petition Approved!!

As my parents are both quite ill, DF and I decided that we will live in the states for a while.  So...we had to do the whole fiance visa thing.  What a hassel!!  The processing center I needed to apply to is the slowest of the four, and we were quite afraid that approval would not come in time for our May 21 wedding.

Well, the petition approval came in today, so we are almost there!  Now, we just need to wait for an interview date in London.  (Any one here know how to speed that up? ).  What this all means is that we will be together sooner than we had thought....I just can't wait!!

Anyhow, just had to share!!

Sorry to hear about your parents being ill and congratulations on the Approval   If you have not sent in your checklist yet to say that you are ready, a few people have included a cover letter stating that they would be ready for an early interview should one be available and this seems to be quite effective.

Yes, we heard that you can do that.  Paul has all of his forms ready, and as soon as we get the bumf from the embassy, he will send off a cover letter saying that he is ready and can attend an interview asap.

I am already back in the states, and staying with my folks.  I'd planned on getting an apartment in Seattle so that I don't have to commute much longer, and now it looks like he may be here in time to help find a place!!
