Hi everyone,
The name's Paul, age 38. I'm British born and bred, but I have worked in the States (Nebraska) and also traveled extensively in the South (AL, GA, FL, NC, SC), which has to be my favorite region of America.
I came back to England in 1996 due to family issues, otherwise I'm sure I would still be in the U.S., and would certainly have returned by now had my green card not expired.

Anyway, I'm now living alone with my cat in a tiny dot on the map on the Norfolk coast.
Most of my friends here who know me tend to look upon me as being rather Americanized in my outlooks, which I take as a compliment.
I'm an electronics engineer, having worked in various fields such as TV and telephone engineering. In fact one of the reasons I registered here is that I noticed technical queries appearing from time to time, and thought I might be able to jump in with some advice when needed.
Oh, and I've looked through some of your posts about coping with things available or not available here, and the things you've found, er, "different" about the U.K. Hilarious, and so true!

There are things about this country that I find weird, and I grew up here!
Anyway, greetings to all.
Regards,
Paul.
