Appointments in NYC
« on: February 20, 2005, 10:46:14 AM »
Hi All, Me (British) and my gf (American) are getting married in the USA in October.  After which, we plan to go the NYC consulate to get her settlement/spousal visa.  I'm confused about the appointment system.  It says quite clearly that only those people with an appointment will be admitted by security.  However, it doesn't give the option for two names to be entered.  How do I accompany my future wife?  Do I make an appointment 15 mins later?

Any advice or experience would be very appreciated.

Thank you

J

The appointment is only for the person getting the visa.

Just because your name isn't listed doesn't mean they won't let you in with her.  The appointment is hers, and should be in her name since she's the applicant.  And you'll be allowed in with her without any problems.

Good luck!  :)
