I like Hayley, but I love that name!!!!  I kept meaning to ask as well!

Our 'girl' name was Louise.  But when she was born she didn't look like one.  One of the midwives mentioned by chance that she looked like an Aillidh.  So we did a wee poll - Is this baby a wee Aillidh?  And so she was!

It's like 'Hayley' w/no H.  The most common Scottish version of it is Eilidh, but a wise Canadian woman on the ward when she was born mentioned that her niece back in Canada who spells her name that way is continually called 'eyelid', so we Anglicised it a bit.
