Searching for the perfect binky
« on: March 29, 2005, 03:57:36 PM »
Jack has been my only baby that wants a pacifier. I have tried several and the only one he likes came from somewhere in the USA. My sister sent it when he was born. Its like a cherry soother but the cherry part is very large and its also hookless. I havent seen them anywhere and when I was in the USA I went to the usual stores and cant find one like it. The only one he has is getting really gross and worn out. My sister cant remember where she got it which is her way of saying "Dollar Store". Anyone know what binky Im talking about?

Hi Ricki, I am in the States and will look around for you.  Then I can get back to you with my finds and bring some back to the UK with me in a few weeks.  Let me know what you think.

I'll look around too...what exactly do you mean by "cherry soother"?  I'm trying to get a mental picture.

Thats what they call them here. Its like a ball at the end instead of the flat type or the orthodontic type. I would post a pic but Jacks asleep and using it at the moment.
Here is something like it but the ball at the end needs to be a little bigger. God bless my baby and his dinosaur mouth!

My daughter also likes dummies like that, w/a round teat.  The only kind she likes I found in a pound stretcher type shops and local chemists.  I found a pile in £Stretcher once, so I bought all they had.  They were 3 for 99p, and I bought 15 packs to keep her going.  She only uses them when she sleeps now.

Good luck in your search.
