Advantages for foreign spouse of US citizen if living outside USA?

If I were to marry my Colombian girlfriend and we continued to live outside the USA, would she derive any benefits? I"m especially wondering if it would be easier for her to travel, as getting visas is a major pain for Colombians.

Not really.  After you can substantiate 4 years of off-shore marriage, they will stick an ILE in her passport if you apply successfully for settlement in the UK.  Otherwise it's (as they say in Columbia) "nada"...

I'm just taking a guess but I'd say ILE = Indefinite Leave to Enter.
