Question about FLR (M) application
« on: April 13, 2005, 09:50:46 PM »
Hi everyone! I haven't been here for awhile as I've been enjoying time with my fiance but the time is drawing closer to our wedding (June) and I happened to take a look at the Home Office site tonight and noticed that the fee has changed!  We'll have the money but it was a shocker. The application has also changed and I was wondering if anyone can answer the questions I have. For section 5 1. "Did you get entry clearance as a spouse, fiance' or un-married partner before entering the UK?"..I put yes because I have a fiance visa. For 5.2 it says "Was he/she granted a Certificate of approval yes or no?" What are they talking about here? He/she? Does that mean me? No I wasn't granted a certificate because I didn't need one. To make matters even more confusing, under this it says "If you answered yes to either question 5.1 or 5.2 go on to section 6, if you have answered no you must answer all questions in this section." . This just rehashes through questions I've already answered when I applied for my VAF2 visa. They already have all this information, why would they need it again?

Just to clarify--- do you have a fiancee visa? If yes (which I think I understand that you do) then the answer to both questions is yes and you skip most the application since they have already approved that information. I hope that helps.

For section 5 1. ...

If you entered the UK on a fiance visa, check yes for 5.1, check no for 5.2, and go to Section 6...

The COA bit is irrelevant to your case.
