Liz, I'm hurt.
 8)
What kind of person do you think I am?!?  Of course I wouldn't leave him there; if I have to, I absolutely would.!
She knows I'm a bit squeamish, and she knows she's better at it anyway; so the timing works out  that she's got him changed and ready for bed before she goes out.  And she's usually not out for long.

Anyway, bottom line, if the kid poops and I'm the only one there, it may take a while and some smelling salts, but I'll do it; and I'll even do it well, dammit!

Sorry Elizabeth I meant that as a general question, not aimed necessarily you, pittpanther mentioned she never used to do nappies either.   Anyway most babies don't usually poop after bedtime do they? Mine doesn't.  ;)

same reason, my sister would change the baby and put her to bed before they left for dinner etc...so the baby was sleeping most of the time...that quickly changed after the baby got older :)

;)  No worries... again, he was lovely, for the 15 minutes we had together; then mum put him down, and that was it.

Now I know he's not mine, so I can't compete with you mums, but LOOK AT HOW FRIGGIN CUTE THIS KID IS:

While I was in the states, I got $10-20/hr for babysitting, but it was for a rich family with three kids, all under the age of five.  :o

depending on the area some places charge more ... our area I use a babysitting service and the babysitters charge £6.00 up till about midnight and after that is £7.00 ...this is over the weekend during the weekday they charge about £5.75. I sort out jess before they arrive and have DVD and snacks for the babysitter..and I give her a tip. I had the worst sitter a couple of years ago she came in and was more worried about what snacks and tea I had and didn't even bother to remember that I had a girl ...I really doubted whether she went in to check her in the room :-\\\\

I used to be cheap and charge mum's (mostly single mums /dads) £3.00 per hour only because they looked like they needed a bit of a break and wouldn't take my free offer of babysitting. but the conditions were that it wasn't for more than 4 hrs ...I had a bad experience being too nice once in S. London :-[
But never fear, gentlemen; castration was really not the point of feminism, and we women are too busy eviscerating one another to take you on.
