I went on a helicopter flight in Alaska, over the forest and glaciers.
I figured because my mom didn't take any motion sickness pills, that I guess I'd be okay not to. Thing is, she
did, and didn't tell me.
Going, I was fine (we landed smack on a glacier!); coming back, a bit queasy, but not tooooo bad... and wouldn't have missed a view like that for anything! What's a little air sickness when you're looking at grizzly bears, eagles' nests, and the forest ending at a glacier
!!
Anyone interested in LOTR or Sean Bean trivia (and for those of you have the extended dvd will know): they had to take a helicopter to the top of the mountain for the scene in the snow - where Boromir picks up the ring and has a little monologue - Sean Bean was terrified and clinging to his seat the whole way up, and refused to take a helicopter thereafter! They would fly over and actually see him below, climbing over the hills to get to the location!
