What to wear!

I'm having a small registry office wedding on June 6. One year from that date will be the big ceremony, with all of the family and friends. The registry office wedding was supposed to be very small, but because of a certain person, it's grown to his close family. So now I'm wondering what to wear. If anyone has had a registry office wedding, what did you wear? Do you have a photo you can share? Can you point me in thr right direction? I don't want anything fancy, since that will come later.

I didn't know what I was going to wear either, but then I found this great dress on the sale rack that was perfect!!!  It was a Champagne colour, that came with a wrap.

Yes, seriously, it found me!!!  Very cool.  Just don't rule anything out and try on things you never thought you would!

I'm wearing the same dress to both events.  It's a pretty flowly Nicole Miller dress I got on ebay for cheap!  I knew I didn't want any poof, and it needed to be formal enough for stateside event, but informal enough for a registry office. 

I had a register office wedding.
I was clueless about what to wear, but was leaning toward a cream or pale pastel suit... it was my 3rd marriage, and i definitely wanted to keep things simple.

I ended up finding a dress in Allders on the sale rack... £120 marked down to £60.  It was a bit fancier than what i had been thinking, but it ended up being lovely, and perfect for the day.  It was a cream/magnolia colour.... long sleeved lace bodice (lined), and a 2-layer sheer skirt, tea-length.

Keep looking... hopefully the right dress will find you!

You should wear whatever you want.  Some women do the big white dress with veil.   Just because you are having a registry wedding doesn't mean that your wedding is less important than anyone else's.

I am wearing a red Debehnam's debut gown. But I only had 2 months to plan my wedding, so I didn't have time for anything but off the peg.
