:) Hi Folks..I'm new to the site so please be patient with me. I'm hoping that I can find some friendly folks and a great support group here. I am completely in love with a Terrific Yorkshireman...I'm hoping that we can find a way to be together soon. I stayed with him in the UK for 6 months but that was all that was allowed. Although we get to talk every day it's just not the same. Not to worry though. I'm working on finding my way back to him and to York permanently as soon as possible. Glad to be here and looking forward to reading everyone elses stories.
see ya later...Leeta :)

Hi and welcome on board!  I am sure you will find lots of wonderful information here!  Not to mention all of us who have lived and are living with separation.  It is a tough thing, but there is always a way.

Best of luck to you!

Hi Leeta, and welcome! :) Where are you from in Indiana? I'm a born and raised Hoosier, stayed there until I was 19 and then moved around a bit before ending up here in England... went to IU for a few years and grew up in Huntington, where are you from ? :)
I'm done moving. Unrepatriated back to the UK, here for good!

Hiya Leeta, welcome to UK Yankee.  You will definitely find what you seek here.  Comraderie and loads of quality information.  We do have folks that have married and moved over but there are quite a few of us still in limbo and waiting.  I'm due to marry in April and move over straightaway.  So I can fully understand your position.

Hi Leeta and welcome to UKY!  Best of luck on finding your way to your Yorkshireman!  I'm sure it will all work out for you!

Hello, and thanks everyone for the warm welcome to UK Yankee. I'm really thrilled to be here to read everyones messages and the info is great. My Yorkshireman, well, he's the greatest. I met him in Massachusetts. It's a really long story but let's just say for now that we were both victims of the same circumstance at the time. He had gone back to the UK before the "circumstance" came to light and in the course of things we began communicating. I went to the UK as a visitor and stayed there with him for the 6 months allowed. This love has grown to be the most exciting and wonderful love that either of us has ever known, and it continues to get stronger with every single day. It's really hard being apart. Hard for both of us but we endure it because we know that one day our time will come and that's what we hold on to. As a matter of fact he's coming to Indiana for a visit in just 43 more days!!!!!!!!! I can't wait!!!!!!!! He'll only be here for a week but it has to be enough for now. Anyway, that's a short summary of a very long story. See ya all later on...and once again THANKS [smiley=heart.gif]

Hi Leeta,  nice to meet you... there are plenty of friendly folks here... and we all have been new...so patience is graciously allowed...

I have been in the holding and waiting mode for 3 years now...  finally we plan to be married this November and then I will be off to England to live...  our wait has been a VERY slow divorce...  and we are actually still waiting on final papers of absolute.

It is also nice to know someone will be heading close to my way...  most live down south...I will be above Yorkshire in Northumberland country...  but Tom is an avid yorkshire fan and likes to go visit when possible....

I know the feeling of being apart well enough...  it has been 10 months since our last visit...  so if ya need to talk, please pm me...
