a little advice............please
« on: May 30, 2005, 09:44:47 PM »
Ok please tell me what you think.....

Saturday night i got out of the shower and was brushing my hair and out of nowhere just vomited in the sink, then in the middle of the night (say sunday around 4 am) i get up to go to the bathroom, and i almost threw up.  but this morning was the worst, i got up and i had maybe a quarter of my morning cigarette, and i started to pass out...my vision was going black, my hearing was just ringing in my ears i was also sweating so much my hair was soaked. so i sat down..... and i got up only about a minute later and walked to the stairs only to fall to my knees so i crawled up the stairs to get to the bathroom.... and threw up....then i get in the shower this afternoon when i got home........ and realized if i touched my breasts...i wanted to scream in pain.......... they hurt so bad.
as i said before, I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and the doctor says it is really hard to get pregnant... My doctor just put me on Birthcontrol only 2 weeks ago, but i've been on this one before and never had these problems before. NEVER. So anybody have any idea whats happening here?

Sounds like you're pregnant.  :)  I know PCOS means irregular periods so when was your last period?
Love your life, poor as it is. You may perhaps have some pleasant, thrilling, glorious hours, even in a poorhouse. The setting sun is reflected from the windows of the almshouse as brightly as from the rich man’s abode; the snow melts before its doors as early in the spring. Cultivate property like a garden herb, like sage. Do not trouble yourself much to get new things, whether clothes or friends. Turn the old; return to them. Things do not change; we change. Sell your clothes and keep your thoughts…

PCOS makes it hard, but not impossible to get pregnant. So, yep! Sounds like a test is in order to give you some peace of mind.

The Pill can also cause such symptoms, and the health risks are increased by smoking.  Some of those risks do include heart problems, stroke, hypertension and blood clots.  Although they are rare, especially among women your age, smoking whilst on the Pill can complicate things.

Please go see a healthcare professional immediately!  Tell them you are experiencing vision problems, extreme dizziness and faintness.  Planned Parenthood can help you if you do not have insurance, as can the women's clinic at your local county hospital.

The first thing they'll do is a pregnancy test and go from there.

Don't put this off, Vicki!

I agree with expat...  just re-read that you're a smoker.  Smoking doesn't mix well with the pill so get to your dr ASAP.  I've had nasty reactions to medication I've been on for 2 years when I stopped and started up again.

If you haven't had sex lately, you really REALLY need to get to the doctor.

Thank you all so much. I actually just got off the phone with my doctor's nurse. She said not to take my pill today, and she will call me back tomorrow with advice from the doctor.  this morning i woke up At 6:30 in the morning (not normal for me at all..lol) and almost didn't make it to a receptable to throw up in.  I just woke up because i was hot, and needed a drink. So i got down from the bed ( i was at my ex's house visiting him and his bed is on a Loft, so i have to climb down a ladder) and just ran to the computer chair and picked up the trashcan....bam *yuck* but then i felt fine after about 10 minutes of throwing up.  Anyway..... Uhm the answer to Amiloo's ? is..

the 15th, 28th and last night....and before that was sometime in the later part of April...before i met my most recent Ex, who turned out 2 be a jerk.  And to Kristi, i havn't had my period in a long time. about 8 months or more. But since I just got put on the pill again, my mum says that maybe if had some effect where I ovulated and within that first few days (15th-16th) i got pregnant....possibly ??? not to sure about that kind of stuff.  The nurse i talked with said she was going to call me tomorrow and the doctor might order some bloodtests for me to determine if i was pregnant or not. The worst part about this is..... and i don't mean to sound like a premiscuis person, but until i found out (IF i am) how far along i am, i don't have a clue who the daddy would be.
because before i met my most recent ex, around Easter (but i think thats a little to far to consider at all...) i had just broken up with my ex T who i lived with for about a year.  then i was with my ex of 3 years J (sometime in late april..) then i met T2 (my most recent ex) who's pretty much 100% itallian and we tussled on the 15-16th... then we broke up... and i've been with j and t again in the past 3 days.....i know that sounds really slutty, but i was only supposed to be visiting them and things happened....... i hate this!

xx.Viv.xx

p.s. I havn't had anything like what happend sunday (with the fainting like symptoms)again.....

Take a test TODAY and end the wondering if you are or aren't.  If you aren't, make sure you're having protected sex (with a condom) because the pill won't protect you from an STD.  I just worry about your health because you've had so many partners in a short amount of time.
If you ARE pregnant, you'll have to be upfront with all 3 men you've been with recently and let them know there are other possiblities for paternity.

Good luck and hang in there.  I know PCOS makes keeping track of your cycle difficult but with multiple partners, you can never be too careful about protecting yourself.

And um.. I've used EPT tests in the States and they are reliable.  Take one today.

Paternity issues aside, if you are pregnant, please be honest with the healthcare professional about your history and be tested for STDs.  Some can cause premature labour, but are easily treated during pregnancy.  As you're unsure of cycle dates, a dating scan might be a good idea.  They can tell by the baby's length how far along you are.

Best of luck!

thanks again all.  The nurse told me not to go buy a home test and to wait for her to call me tomorrow...... i really don't have alot of money right now so i really can't afford a home test anyway.  and The testing that the doctor would give me that i could get as early as tomorrow, would be free .......
so again thank you all.

p.s. I'm always honest with the doctors about serious stuff.

the only one i would be worried about STD's with would be T2 the most recient ex, because things just happend and i didn't know him that well.

J has only had relations with me before, and he NEVER lied to me ever so i have reason to trust him.  (and we got tested together before when i thought somthing was wrong.... just turned out to be an allergic reaction to Latex *FOR BOTH OF US!*

and T, i was with for a little over a year and we've been tested before.

well much love to you all
