No, there's no limit on time outside the UK while on a settlement visa... but you need to be able to show you have lived together for the whole time (or have a very good reason why not, for example, military deployment).
It's only UK citizenship that has a limit, which, if you are married to a UK citizen is:
- you were physically in the UK on the same date exactly 3 years before your citizenship application date
And
- you have not spent more than 270 full days outside the UK in the 3 years prior to applying for citizenship
And
- no more than 90 of the 270 days can have been in the final 12 months before applying
