For anyone that lives in or close to London or maybe going to visit and are missing American Food the Texas Embassy near Trafalgar Square is THE BEST!!!! OMG the enchaladas were fantastic!!! and they do Queso Dip
They ply you with salsa and chips.....mmmm

There is also The Big Easy..They do seafood and baby back ribs.....I had alaskian crab legs.....have had better...but it was nice

I just saw this - I used to work across the road from the T.E. and was a regular there, yes it's great isn't it? Sometimes the food can be a bit hit and miss but the atmposphere is really good. They do great margaritas and they also have Mexican beers and Mike's Hard Lemonade.  And when you go to the loo you can learn Spanish!  One night when I was there, some Texan millionaire came in and bought drinks for everyone.

errr...the PA speaker system teach yourself spanish was annoying at least for me it didn't make sense and it was loud.  DH liked his burger..I didn't finish my tostada because of the cheese (bree ???) :P Kitchy for office get togethers ...the atmosphere was nice.

But never fear, gentlemen; castration was really not the point of feminism, and we women are too busy eviscerating one another to take you on.

Haven't been there yet, bit i'm such a fan of cafe pacifico-don't know if i could change!!!

Did just get the following off DailyCandy and want to try here next:

Andale, ándale! Arriba, arriba!

If you’re up for a hot little Mexican (sans whiskers), zoom down to Taqueria, a new Westbourne Grove restaurant that’s seriously kicking — as hard as the chillies they use in almost everything.

The chargrilled steak tacos, spicy huevos rancheros and mind-blowing green chillaquiles may be as close as London gets to authentic Mexican fare. (Hate to break it to you, but Nando’s hardly counts).

And what’s spice without a little sweet? Nada. So don’t leave without sampling Taqueria’s amazing hot chocolate, which is ground on site from cocoa nibs, cinnamon and almonds.

So hooked you want to take the experience home? No problemo. (Okay, we’ll stop now). There’s a small selection of cooking ingredients for sale. (The Pozole Rojo kit should alleviate any boredom caused by the current EastEnders plotline).

The only downside is that the owners (three amigos by the names of Dodie Miller, Fred Taylor and Valentine Warner) don’t take bookings.

So you’ll have to be Speedy Gonzales to get a table.

Taqueria, 139-143 Westbourne Grove, W11 (020 7229 4734).
