Well, this is a good website to answer your questions... ;D

I'd suggest you check out the information and links in our Visas and Citizenship section.

Sorry to disappoint you but the UK is one of the hardest countries to get citizenship in. Pretty much you either have to be married, plan on getting married or have your job transfer you over here. You simply cant just pack up and move over. You also wont be able to work unless you have a settlement visa. My best advice for you is to contact your employer and see if they have any job openings over here.

Just packing up and moving to the UK is not legal without the proper visa.  As Saf suggested, read the visa section of this site, read every section in fact.   You can't just move here willy nilly.
Love your life, poor as it is. You may perhaps have some pleasant, thrilling, glorious hours, even in a poorhouse. The setting sun is reflected from the windows of the almshouse as brightly as from the rich man’s abode; the snow melts before its doors as early in the spring. Cultivate property like a garden herb, like sage. Do not trouble yourself much to get new things, whether clothes or friends. Turn the old; return to them. Things do not change; we change. Sell your clothes and keep your thoughts…

Are you a student? If you tell us a bit more about your status, I think there are probably people here who can give you some good advice.
