Cabbage Soup Diet

I eat a very healthy diet 90% of the time, but after 2 trips to the US in the last 3 months, I gained a couple of pounds and just felt really bloated and unable to drop the pounds just going back to my regular eating habits. I decided to do the 7 day Cabbage Soup Diet just to try to jump start my metabolism...something that seems to get much more difficult as you get older. I know it is a very faddish diet and not typical to anything I have or would ever do, but I have to say that it was really easy and I am pleased with the results.

Has anyone else tried this and what was your experience?

I worked for a publisher that put out a book on this diet.  From what I understand (and excuse me for being a bit graphic), it can give you wind and make another function quite stinky.

Very true!  :P  But in the end it seemed to umm...clear up... and the bloating and stuff went away making me feel much better than I did before I started the diet.

I tried it several years ago, but after 2 days, I couldn't stomach the thought of eating another bowl of cabbage soup!   :P

I'm with wvgirl69 - my ex and I tried it a few years back and I found it revolting though he liked it and, so, stuck with it for longer than I.

I don't remember him losing much weight on it though.
