UKM Help

Hi.  I'm new to this site and wondering about the UKM.  My husband is considering applying for the BN-13 citizen status.   
He was born in the U.S. in 1963 to a mother who was a British Citizen but was living in the U.S.  She was born in England but married a U.S citizen in the 1950s and moved to the U.S.  She retained her British Citizenship.  She becase a U.S. citizen in the 1970's but didn't give up her UK citizenship.

We have all the documents (her expired passport, her birth certificate, his birth certificate and his passport),  but I fear that I'm not reading the UKM guide correctly and that I might be missing something.   
I appreciate any help.

Sounds like you've got everything.  Make sure it's his mother's LONG form birth certificate, as they will not accept the short form.  Good luck!

I believe we have the long form.  We ordered it from the GRO. 
What is the difference between the long and short?
