awww....
But never fear, gentlemen; castration was really not the point of feminism, and we women are too busy eviscerating one another to take you on.

Ours just past and believe  me it was  a  day to remember.. ::)  tears and  being upset  but we spent the  rest of the day  in the City Centre  eventually talking  in  a coffee shop and it was truly amazing....just discovering a new layer..    What started out as  bad ended  up bringing us  much closer..   :-*

aww...we went to Ronnie Scott's for our first anni ...downstairs in the smaller bar we had a meal and chatted with one of the guys in one of the bands that was about to play. We talked about America , Marriages , Children and music....finished our meal then went upstairs to catch them play...his band came on and dedicated a song for us...at least we like to think that he did "I dedicate this song to young love" [smiley=love.gif]

And to think, not that long ago you were counting down the days until you get back to the US!!  It sounds like you've settled in quite nicely.

Congrats on 11 months.. and may the next month go quickly!
Love your life, poor as it is. You may perhaps have some pleasant, thrilling, glorious hours, even in a poorhouse. The setting sun is reflected from the windows of the almshouse as brightly as from the rich man’s abode; the snow melts before its doors as early in the spring. Cultivate property like a garden herb, like sage. Do not trouble yourself much to get new things, whether clothes or friends. Turn the old; return to them. Things do not change; we change. Sell your clothes and keep your thoughts…

He he Kristi....I still think about it here and there.  ;)

We're off to Paris where he unofficially proposed (ie: where he was cranky as my ring was still in the jewlers and he'd wanted to propose at the top of Notre Dame but didnt and was cranky all night about it when we were there)

I'm excited, haven't been in a few years, staying at the same hotel we were in that trip!

We cheated and already gave our gifts to each other.  Him, an i Pod mini and me some diamond earrings.   ;D  But the trip is our gift to each other!!!!

Carolyn, it was 28/8/04!!!!!

Well congrats Aimiloo!  The trip to Paris sounds very romantic!

I think we are going to be celebrating by replacing the boiler in our house. ::)  Oh well, it needs doing before winter certainly!  Plus we've got an October trip to Cyprus lined up for the week of Steve's birthday & still trying to decide what to do with our other 5 annual leave days for the year -- might end up renting a weekend cottage here in Yorkshire somewhere during August either in one of the Dales or on the North Yorkshire coast which we both love.
