uk construction jobs

My husband is a custom homebuilding with great interior finish work skills, has run his own residential construction company. I am a UK citizen and he is eligible for settlement visa, so eligibility to work is not a problem. We are most interested in Northern England or Scotland. Might anyone have any contacts in the construction industry?

Can't help with any contacts,but this entire area ( North Birmingham)seems to be a building site so I would assume finding employment would be no problem.Or how about starting his own company?

I have been looking for work in this general industry as well, and I have come across this site:

Its a recruiting firm that specializes in finding people in the industry of the built environment. They seem to have plenty of jobs all over the UK, and they operate on a commission basis with their clients (the employers), so when I spoke with them, they really seemed motivated to help me find work. Hope they can help you as well.
