italian dessert ideas?
« on: February 02, 2006, 10:23:28 AM »
DH and I are having dinner with an Italian guy who is fixing us 'real' Italian food. I've offered to take a dessert and may opt for my famous brownies, but wanted to consider an Italian recipe as well. Any ideas? Nothing with coffee in it as I can't stand the stuff but all other ideas are welcome!
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

One of my fave chefs on the BBC is Italian...Gino D'Acampo.. [smiley=smitten.gif]

I'm posting a few links that might be helpful. He says they tend to go for fresh in-season fruits and fruit salads for dessert.

Hope this helps! :)

This recipe sounded nice for a dessert.

I've only had it a couple of times, but it's a dessert that is similar to Tiramsú, but instead of doing it with coffee flavours, it's done with limoncello, and OMG is it to die for!
