Help!!!! wife has put a case for DOMESTIC VIOLENCE on me.

Hi,

My wife came to the UK in 2004 and her visa was going to run out in April 2006.
We had a bit of problems in our relationship not only with me but also with my mum.  She locked the door and when i managed to open it with the help of my brother.

She was on her mobile and she called the POLICE!!!  I was shocked wondering why she has called the police.  The police then came home and we explained the situation, the Police said that "the owner can use force if needed if they don't want someone to live in their property"  But we did not use force.  Except my mum just told her to go back to her aunts house.  The Police then took her to a place where her aunt would pick her up

We also have a baby who is 8 months who is staying with her. 

I have heard from someone in her family that she has put a case for ILR as case for domestic violence.  I CANT BELIVE IT.  I have never done anything of the sort.

Now my question is  - IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO?. 

What steps can i take, as this is a false allegation on me?

Where did you hear that from?

Secondly, Britwife's advice holds.  And what difference to you if she gets ILR or not? 

See a solicitor.  Pronto.

I think he means that his son, who is a British citizen, told him she can get ILR.

I agree with everyone else that seeing a solicitor is the best option.  There are two sides to this story, and we only have one.

Just HOW did  you and your brother manage to open it?.......Do ya think that mighta freaked her out ...........and thats my 1000th!
