Consulate appt problem
« on: August 10, 2005, 08:40:12 PM »
I really need help this time!  I cancelled my appt. for August 17 and made a new one for August 25.  The screen on-line confirmed that the 17th was cancelled.  I copied the screen that confirmed my 8/25 appt. and saved it as a doc so I can print it later when I have printer access.  Now I got an e-mail from the NY consulate confirming my appt. for August 17.

What should I do?  I hate to assume anything when it comes to getting a visa?  Should I send the consulate a letter explaining what I've done?  Will they acknowledge the letter?
When I find a funnier sig than twistedncynical's, it will be here.

You will have to have a printed copy (hard copy) of the appointment on the 25th. Before you are allowed in the building you have to show it to the security guard along with ur passport. You must not have cancelled it correctly. What you can do to see what ur appointment date is, is to select a new date, fill in all the information as u originally did and when u go to the next screen it will say u have an appointment already on such and such date.

Since Garry says to ignore it, that's what I'll do.  I definitely will have copies with me of both screens confirming the appointment on the 25th.  Thanks to both of you. :-*

I followed your advice, and voila! My appt. is for the 25th.  Now let's see.  What else can I stress about?   ::)
