Hi everyone,
My dh and I will be moving to Scotland this time next year. Since my dd will just be starting school (she turns 5 next May), I am curious what they expect of 5 year olds in schools in the UK. For instance, are they able to read yet? Can they recognize and write all of their letters? etc. Just trying to get an idea of what to expect so I can work with her on certain things where needed. She is in preschool, but I've heard UK schools are much better than US schools, so I'm just trying to plan ahead. Thanks for any input.
