Petting Zoo's / Chucky Cheese alternative
« on: August 22, 2005, 11:53:35 AM »
Does anyone know if there's any petting zoos in the Berkshire/London areas?  Even pet stores with puppies!?!  It is very hard to find these places.  Also is there anything like Chucky Cheese here?  A childrens Fun place with games, food and entertainment??
Thanks
Sandra

Coram Fields in London has a very small petting zoo (just a few geese, goats, rabbits, etc) and is a good sized park dedicated to children.  No adults are allowed in unless they have children with them.  It's also a gated park which allows children to run a bit more freely.

They have a huge sandpit with large toys, swings, climbing toys, basketball court, etc.  We live in Hertfordshire and enjoy travelling into London to visit Coram Fields.

if you want to find places in London I suggest you get the London for Kids books...they are £8.00 and it gives you lots of places and suggestions.

Also check your local library as they always have flyers and info on area events
But never fear, gentlemen; castration was really not the point of feminism, and we women are too busy eviscerating one another to take you on.

Join the zoo.  Then you can go more than once and it become cheap entertainment.  We have memberships to Historic Scotland, National Trust for Scotland, the Zoo and the Royal Botanic Garden.  We get A LOT of mileage out of all these memberships and if you picnic your lunch as well - it works out to a lot of bang for your buck.  The Zoo and Botanics do members-only functions as well, particularly around the holidays.

Wow, thanks so much guys, I will definitely look into the links provided!  I have thought of the zoo but my daughter is really desperate to touch and hold things.  I would love to go to a pet shop with puppies and kittens but I havent seen ANY!?!
Anyways, THANKS a lot!
