Hi all,

We're getting married on 20 September and sending off for the spouse visa that afternoon after going to pick up the marriage certificate.  We NEED the visa to be back by the 3rd of October as we are flying out the next day on the 4th.  Do you think we'll receive it back in time if Fed-Ex'd and if we include our return flight dates?  If not, does anyone know of a good facilitator in the DFW area who can handle this for us?  Someone reputable but not too expensive would be brilliant.  Thanks!

p.s. I fly back to the states in 2 weeks after being here for 5 months...will really miss bf but first thing I'm doing is going to Taco Bell.  Ha ha!

I wouldn't waste money on a facilitator.  If you can go to the consulate yourself, you can get your visa the same day.  It will cost more but it's worth knowing you have it in-hand.  Otherwise, it's a crap shoot.  You might get it back in time, you might not, even with a facilitator.
Love your life, poor as it is. You may perhaps have some pleasant, thrilling, glorious hours, even in a poorhouse. The setting sun is reflected from the windows of the almshouse as brightly as from the rich man’s abode; the snow melts before its doors as early in the spring. Cultivate property like a garden herb, like sage. Do not trouble yourself much to get new things, whether clothes or friends. Turn the old; return to them. Things do not change; we change. Sell your clothes and keep your thoughts…

I used a Visa service when I got mine last year. I need my passport for work and could only be without it a few days. My application from FL had to go to NY. It only cost 60$ to use the service. It would have a been a lot more to actually fly to NY &  go in person & I just didn't have the luxury of time to wait for the postal method. In my case it was money well spent and piece of mind.
