Fluoride for children?
« on: September 12, 2005, 05:26:55 AM »
My kids get fluoride tablets here in the States because the city doesn't fluoridate the water.

Is it common for kids in the UK to get prescriptions for fluoride tablets?  Or is the water typically fluoridated?

Please no flames about whether or not fluoride aded to the water is good/bad.

Thank you.

The wate's flouridated in most areas as far as I know.  Not sure about flouride tablets but I had flouride treatment on my teeth as a child, done by a dental hygienist.

Dunno if it's added to the water here.  I use a BDA accredited toothpaste for the family - they sell ones for kids as well.
