As a Brit living in the US, Argos is one store that I really miss! It's so convenient to find what you want in the catalogue at home and then go pick it up. Everyone uses Argos; I don't think there is any kind of overall negative feeling towards it. Not when I lived there at least.

Where are the Argos locations in Central London?  I know that I will definitely need to go in and stock up on necessaries once I move there.  Thanks!

There is one on Tottenham Court Rd near the tube stop which I have been to.  Go to there website, www.argos.co.uk, and click on "Store Locator".
