Thank you all for your wonderful support!! I am so grateful to have you all to vent to!  I've been giddy all day. Tickled to bits! Chuffed! Heeee!!  :)

It's funny how we take so many things for granted and then this move throws us out of whack. I know I am not the first person who felt really comfortable with their job/job skills only to find that in the UK you may or may not be as valued. It really makes you feel vulnerable to have your credentials examined with a fine tooth comb and you have no clue what type of day the person assessing you is having. I've really been trying hard not to worry or complain about it but it really would have thrown us for a loop had I not been approved. I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off of our shoulders.

If anyone else out there ever has to deal with applying for a license through the HPC, I'll be glad to help in any way I can. Even if it's just to hold your hand!

So when/where are ya moving?

The short answer: I don't know.  ;D

The long answer: The house is for sale, but I am in a niche market as it's in resort type area (socal mountains). Hopefully it will sell quickly. Whenever the house sells is when I will be able to finalize plans. We can't do this without the money from the house. :(

My company has a branch in Heston (west London). Ideally, I'd like to transfer to keep my seniority BUT if there are no openings in my department, it won't be an option, and since I don't have the house sold yet, I cannot plan. I can also work for the NHS as techs are needed but where is also up in the air. <sigh> It's all so circular!
