..we were  thinking  to have my BIL lend us money just to put in the account.. and then eventually give it back just so it'd show  as a  higher sum.. but then we decided not to.. My DH is  not self-employed and although  he had letters  from his  manager  and   bank statements.. the lady  was   not 'impressed' at how much we had.. I still am not sure how much is  'enough'.. to be honest ,... it depends on the person that day and what mood they are in.. but  yes.. do take more information than necessary ..better more than less..  (this  was for my spousal visa) .. we were approved that day..   a day I remember vividly crying for joy.. it had been  huge stress to get to that point in my life.

We are also Catholic  so I know EXACTLY what you are talking about.. charting does work.. I have been married  for over a year.. and so far so good..

Didja meet on Catholic Match or Ave Maria Singles or one of those? We met on Catholic Match!

I'm totally excited about having a baby - even a honeymoon baby - but I really, really don't want to become pregnant on the honeymoon and then get denied my visa!

I've just started charting this week. I have pretty regular cycles, so I think I'll have an idea of when my phases are by the wedding... I still have to get used to taking my temperature at the same time every morning. Some nights, I can't sleep very well and I want to be up and out of bed by 6-6:30, and other days I can actually stay in bed until after 7... I guess I'll have to set a time of 6:30 and get used to getting up then.

it's actually really common to have a finacial sponsor other then your spouse, when my hubby came to the states my uncle finacially sponsored him..it's really just a safe gaurd against you getting on any kind of welfare system over there and they require the same assurance if coming here..I hope his family will do this for you,  I know it eased me alot!

I talked to him about it, and he said he's 99.9% sure his parents would do it. It's not like we're asking them for money - just to vouch for us and say "We'll take them in if they become destitute." They're retired, but they own their home (paid for) and have pensions. So, we feel better knowing they've got our backs on that. That means, I think, less confusion at the consulate, because he won't have the same sorts of paperwork regular employees have.

You got the quote, but any message you'd intended didn't post!  :)

catholic mingle

also i don't necessarily get up  when i take my temp..but  it is pretty consistent  the time i take it.. .. I was  told you can  take it earlier  but  not later..  seems your temp rises  after you've  been  awake  for a while..   plus it's not only the  temp of course.. i think the other signs  are a lot more  reliable..

where did  you guys  meet?

Well, I'm just getting used to waking up at the same time every morning - I tried to pick a fairly average time, before which I am unlikely to wake up. I have fairly uneven hours, but there's nothing wrong with "Early to bed, early to rise!"

I'm willing to do the main "external symptom" check, but I'm Sooooooo not interested in, um, internal checks. Because I'm squeamish like that. Anyway, I hear external mucous and temp are really all you need.
