LONG courses
« on: September 07, 2006, 06:04:31 PM »
Is it just here in the UK or is it everywhere that university courses are SO LONG! My courses are eight months long. By the time I reach the end I'm so fed up with them but mainly out of pure boredom.

It's not like that at my uni (in the USA._ My classes go:  Aug 28th- Dec 9 (or so) then Jan 14-May 5 (or so). Summer classes are optional. Some classes (like Biology) are 2-part. I'm taking Bio I this semester, and Bio II next semester.

I'll be in your boat soon, Pebbles- the taught modules for my master's degree run straight through from September-May.  It'll be kind of like being in high school again, lol :P

My masters was'nt like that here at Leeds uni. It was term 1, term 2 and summer to do your disseration. You went from sept to dec for term 1 then jan to may for term 2. I just turned in my dissertation last week!!! We only got a one week break without anything due or to think about over the year, so I am just relaxing and quite happy that it's done ;D
