After all the angst and worry about getting a spouse visa it all went very smoothly and my husband joined me in the UK in June. Thanks for all the info and support but here I am again with another query! I know his spouse visa is good for multiple entries but how long can he stay out of the UK at any one time so as not to affect his settlement status? I have a US passport as well but with ILR as I've lived in the UK for 40 + years and I know that I have to touch base in the uK at least once every 2 years. What are the spousal requirements in case he should have to return for any reason?
