My fav...........is fried turkey and eggs..my mother always fixed it for breakfast the next morning.....you just take turkey (best is dark meat) and fry it in a shallow pan with a little sunflower oil until hot and some of it goes crispy...salt and pepper it..and then fry your eggs over easy..and serve together..........*drool*....

I suppose it must be a family tradition thing...just like we always ate ketchup with grilled cheese...none of my high school friends had ever heard of that...I think alot of them still eat theirs that way...lol..and eating mustard with tater tots.............  ;D

Sorry Liza...but the Paxo stuffing just doesn't taste the same as Stove top....

Hey!  What do you expect!  I asked a Brit!  ;)  I explained to him what it is and he said the Paxo was the same thing - as far as taste goes, I'm not surprised it's not the same from that respect.  Oh well - we tried!  :)

Better add Stovetop to my list of things to pack! Wonder what they think at the airport when they go through bags and find such odd combinations of food  ;D Hmm she must have a thing for stuffing and licorice with tollhouse morsels on the side lol

I think one secret to really good stuffing is to make sure the bread pieces are very dried out.  My mother always sets them out on cookie sheets about 2 days before - sometimes she even uses bread that is boarderline freezer burned because it's actually better for the stuffing.  Otherwise, if the pieces aren't dried out enough, the stuffing will come out really mushy (yucky).  :P

I do that with my cornbread, but I use bread crumbs to add with it.

Can you get bags of stuffing bread there?  Basically just like a bag of croutons with stuffing seasoning on them.  Here the best are Pepperidge Farm, but you may find a similar brand if it's available.  My ex made fantastic homemade dressing with this stuff, and he would saute onion and celery and stuff - then bake it all in a pan, it was never mushy.  But I know what you mean, the whole mushy bread blob is just nasty.  :P
