has anyone seen bunratty mead for sale in the uk? i'd love to have some to use for our wedding toast, but the version that's available in the states is so not the real thing.

I've never heard of it before... but googled it and it looks to be an Irish brand, so perhaps you could contact the company direct?

Does it *have to be* that brand?
If not, i saw a site selling a 20 litre bulk pack for weddings/banquets, etc for £140...

My ex husband used to be heavily into brewing, and made his own mead for Christmas gifts one year... OMG... it was lovely stuff!!

The Lindisfarne mead is supposed to be really nice as well, if you're not set on Bunratty's.

Heh - we considered that 20 litre pack before we decided not to use mead at our wedding.

I used to get Chaucer's Mead in the States, and I know they have a website, 'though I used to have it bought for me when someone or another would go to the Texas Ren Fest.

Mmmmm....mead!  I haven't had much luck in finding mead here in the UK, however...oddly enough.
I was born in the Summer and at Night...my mother named me AUTUMN DAWN.  True story.
