My Sensible Lad
« on: November 08, 2005, 10:48:47 AM »
I just got home from Morrison's with Coby and Jack. I bought the kids some large marshmallows which Coby never had before. When we got home he couldn't wait to tear into the bag but he took one bite of one and said "Mom, this is too sweet!!" and then he spit it out. I thought it was so funny because his older brothers would gladly live off spoonfuls of white sugar!

I keep mini marshmallows to hand to put in the bottoms of ice cream cones so there're no drips.   :D

Have a bag of hte big ones, but can't remember why I just bought them . . .  :-\\\\

There's nothing cuter than watching a small child eat an ice cream cone.  And nothing yukier than finding dried ice cream drips stuck to furniture weeks later, covered in fluff.   :(

I'm with Coby...too sweet! But, I always loved toasting them over a campfire so I had to pawn them off to whoever was around (or fling them into the bushes!)

Good idea with the mini ones in the cones! Who would have thunk it?

What part of the grocery store are marshmellows to be found?  I was looking for some today for hot chocolate, since it's getting to be that season....

I find the big ones in Farm Foods.  The minis are in Lakeland for £1.25 a bag.

S'mores!  Yes!  How could I forget.  That's what I'll use the big ones for.

I found large bags of the big marshmallows (from haribo) today at Morrisons. They were £1.99 buy one get one free. This is the first time I have never seen the large marshmallows here but to be honest I never looked that hard.
