Oh, it sounds good!! I'm gonna make it!! What about chicken pot pie.......I used to love the frozen ones back home.....I think you can do it with Bisquick, but haven't tried it yet.

I'm so excited!  I found tater tots at Morrison's this weekend.  During my last pregnancy, tater tots were (for some reason) one of the only things that I could stomach during my first trimester.  I've already finished off the bag that I bought...have to go get a few more!
We have a Jacksons by us and they have tots! :)

Does anyone remember the tater tots that Ore-Ida made. They had chopped onions in them I think. Yum-yum!

That recipe sounds great; I may make it for dinner this week. DH has never had TT casserole. ;)

DH has never had TT casserole. ;)

Mine had never had it, either.

1) he hates canned soup, especially cream of anything
2) he doesn't care for Tater Tots and would rather have fries
3) he's vegetarian, so I need to use Quorn mince (which, by the way, works great for TT casserole and tacos)

So, I made the stuff for him and the WHOLE thing was eaten in one meal (should have been left-overs, really!).  Now he actually ASKS me to make the stuff!

Frances, I never heard of Quorn before so I did a little research... came up with a lot of sites against it though :-\\\\

Soya mince is good. I used to buy the dry kind and cook it up as needed. But I haven't seen it in the US in the same way.

Yes, some people are allergic to the micro-protiens: but, there is someone who is going to be allergic to everything known to man at some point...sadly.

However, it is a GREAT product.  I (we) use it for so many meals.  I am a true carnivore (former hunter, but for hubs, I gave that up).  My whole family are carnivores (hunters and farmers) and THEY even like the stuff.  Yes, there is a texture difference, but depending on what you are cooking, it it works great!

Try Fred Meyer and most major grocery stores in the freezer section.  Some places in the states will also have the deli slices somewhere (try looking in the "organic" sections).
