EC: how to make out the entry date?

Hallo, everybody!

I got HSMP approve at 17 Nov'2005 and have to apply for EC in next 3 months (i.e. before 17 Feb'2006). But I want to get EC with entry date from 1 March'2006. How can I do this?

If I will apply to EC now and will ask to open my entry date from 1 March'2006

will be it more effectively than

applying to EC at 1 Feb'2006 and asking them to open my entry date from 1 March'2006?

As I've wrote at first posting, I want to enter at 1 March 2006.

If you apply in the next three months and put in the form when you want to enter there will be no problem.  You  have three months from the date of issue to enter the UK.

Victoria, maybe you can answer my visa question??? My UP visa was issued on November 9th of this year but I won't actually be arriving until February 9th '06. Do you think this will be a problem?

If I can jump in while Victoria's out...

By what you've given, you'll submit an FLR(O) form in Oct 07 so as to have FLR by Nov 07.  Then you would complete your probationary period, and submit a SET(M) in January 08 to receive your ILR.
