What are good brands for kitchen items??
« on: July 22, 2006, 09:06:04 PM »
I'm looking for a handmixer and don't know which one to buy.  The two that I'm looking are are Braun and Breville.

But, in general, for appliances (washer, dryer, fridge, mixers, etc..) what are good brand names to look for?

My husband, never owning a place of his own, has no idea!  Thanks :)

Braun is great.. my handblender is Braun, Meile, Bosch are tops for larger applicances.

Those are some that I own that I can recommend. :-)

Kenwood is akin to Kitchen Aid.

Our Washer and Dryer are Bosch. My Hoover a Meile Allervac.

my DH's friends wife has T-Fal pot & pans also she has T- Fal skillets that she swears by. she said they are a bit pricey but they are good investment & will last a long time if they are taken care of them properly.

I've never had a T-Fal pan last over a year.  The best non-stick pan I've had so far was a high-end Sainsbury's brand and that one's pushing the two year mark.
