Just an FYI to any social care workers awaiting work permits. According to my recruiter at TTM Work Permits UK, the body that govern all immigration and visa applications, will now NOT accept the GSCC SCR number as a proof of registration. The certification process MUST be completed before a work permit can be issued. For anyone planning to come over in January, this may affect your start date with your employer, unless you already registered with GSCC.
