Hi all. I don't have a PC in England, so I can't post much.
I miss decent size cars (I know they are there, but where ya gonna park it?), unlimited refills, fast service, sunshine, dry roads, ample parking with enough room to get out of the car, empty roads, 24 hour stores and restaurants, decent bacon cheeseburgers, sunshine, being able to see for twenty miles, the NFL, shows that aren't about people in a pub or a jungle, and oh yea, sunshine.
I am home for the holidays to ship stuff to the newly rented dollhouse.
I think I will need Paxil in order to get back on the plane.
It's funny, but it's the stuff that I complained about here that I miss the most - junk food, the frantic pace, commuting, blatant commercialism and excessive consumption. I guess my programming runs deep.
Please, if you love it there, I am happy for you and glad that we feel differently. Otherwise, everyone on Earth would be squeezed into a tiny little space that everyone agreed was really great. Kinda like Cancun at spring break.
I do like the cheese and onion crisps, and I had a delicious waffle/chocolate cake thing topped with ice cream last week. And there are more motorbike shows. So there are a few bright spots.
It took twenty hours to get from the house there to where I am staying, so I think I will park my jetlagged ars* fer a spell and enjoy ESPN and wonderful American junk food. Ummmmmmmmm Junk food. aaaaagh
