luck in finding an NHS dentist

I happened to be in A&E in late Sept when stepson broke his collar bone. They had a notice on the wall stating there was a drive to match patients seeking an NHS dentist with local practices who were accepting patients, so I filled out the form. I just received a letter today asking me if I'd like to register with an NHS dentist in my area!!  I've completed the form and will wait to hear back if they accept me but I have to admit I was surprised to hear from an NHS dentist at all.

Me too........I just paid 90 quid for x-rays, a cleaning and a small filling.......go for it.

All 4 of us (husband and girls) were registered with a NHS dentist...but hubby had to cancel his new patient appointment since he could not get off work.  Now they have closed registration and he is without a dentist. Grrr....
I paid ₤17 for my check up with the NHS dentist and ₤41 for the cleaning with the hygienist.
