Careful with Paracetamol...

I was reading one of my natural remedy websites today and I came across something interesting.

Paracetamol can cause liver damage - especially to a drinker of alcohol.

So why is it the most popular pain reliever in a country known for it's alcohol consumption?

Hypothetical situation here - but someone goes out on the town - drinks a bit too much (not good for the liver) and then takes paracetemol for the hangover (also not good for the liver).

It is the same thing with Tylenol isn't it.........I rememeber along time ago in the US they had died of that..

You're not supposed to drink when you're taking paracetamol. But I think that, unless you're an alcoholic who drinks heavily and has already suffered liver damage, you'd have to take a lot of paracetamol to have a real effect on the liver.
