Gift certificates, baby gifts
« on: January 22, 2006, 01:49:13 PM »
If family in the US want to get a gift for the new baby, what might be a website that my mom can direct them to?  She thought that it would be easier for people to order something from a UK company and have it shipped or else order a gift certificate online.  I know that some companies won't let you order if you don't have a UK credit card or billing address.  Anyone have any suggestions?

I know Mothercare won't do it (we tried) but I am not sure about Babies r Us, they might.  You could also try John Lewis and Boots, they both sell baby gear online.

amazon.co.uk used to have some baby stuff. they do gift certificates, too.  amazon.com gift certificates are not valid on amazon.co.uk, so warn folks of that.

How about M&S online for baby clothes?

Thanks for the suggestions!  It looks like all of those places sell gift vouchers online.  I can't find on the website if you can purchase something with a US credit card/billing address, but they are all big companies, so they might.
