Work Permit vs FLR

I give my spouses a letter like the one at

Which seems to do the trick.  At least at Pizza Hut 

You know -- I got a Home Office letter with my visa, just confirming the details of the visa & the letter includes a couple sentences saying that I can work, etc.  I always take that along -- just in case the prospective employer isn't willing to accept the visa alone (the first job I worked was like that).

I will probably adapt the statutory info from that as an appendix to be included with CVs.

For what it's worth, all these acronyms make me think my head is going to explode sometimes!!!!

Thanks for that letter Garry.  That will help me put it into some sort of perspective for them if need be.  I haven't heard anything from them again, so I'm hoping we're all covered.
